  1. I start my motocross challenge with 2011 YZ450F . although i had many years experience with heavy cubic MC , from the first start i underestand it have so much power . and the first try MX track was scary and i decide to sell it . but as i am a stubborn person , i keep pushing and learning whit this bike . + mapping it as soft as possible and now i am getting better . last weekend i tried a rmz250 and was amazed how well i can drive it, but i didnt like it there was no power in it . now i need help : my friend suggest me to change to a 250 2 stroke : so how dose it feel to change from 450 4t to 250 2 stroke !? it is getting even harder !? or should i just not give up and keep pushing and learning with a 450 !? or maybe i just go to 20 4 stroke !?
  2. So i bought a 1992 rm125 about 1 week ago and it ran fine! i got it home and rode it for about 3 days, then after i let it cool down for about 20 minuets it would not start! I checked for spark, and for some reason, there was no spark. I bought a new ngk plug, and still nothing! I went through all the usual stuff, and still nothing! I bought a new stater, put it on, and now it will bump start, but not start using the kick starter. ( the kick starter is 100% good ) I think it may be the ignition coil, but i am not 100% sure. Any ideas?
  3. hey guys, i have a 2006 rmz 450 i picked up. i use it mostly for trails( i know its an mx bike) and wanted to get your opinions on a few things. i got this bike because i was given a good deal on it ($1500) literally ready to ride, overall a pretty clean bike and not neglected. it had new fork seals,swingarm pivots, tires blah blah. he was a friend who simply owned other bikes and he has lots of money so he gave me a deal. anyway, one of my reasons for buying it was i keep hearing in mags and in person about suzukis legendary turning, and i will totally give up straight line stability for some sweet corner action. however i have had nothing but the worst handling with this thing, most likely due to the fact the fork is sprung harsher than anything ive ever felt. probably stiffer than stock mx. the front tire wont hold a line, constantly pushes all over the place. i understand this to be opposite of what im supposed to experience on this bike, correct? the 4 speed box is a minor bug, i am using 13/51 sprockets, id still overlook it if this thing railed on the singletrack. this bike is mostly just a second bike to me right now. so my question is, given how cheap i got it, is it worth it to hang onto and do the suspension? maybe try lower gearing(anyone try a 12t on the cs?), or 52 on rear? im willing to swap sprockets when i go to open places. or just bail and sell it and move onto to something better suited? im really curious about this sharp turning thing. if it was a rm250, id sink $$ in it forsure.

I want to buy a second bike beside my yz450(2011) , i just looking for 450 4 strokes models which year model from suzuki is the best to have as a used bike !? i heard 2006 models sucks !?? should i go and buy a carb or just look at EFI models !? why do you like suzuki compare to other manufacture !?
  5. So today i was running my 2008 Rmz 450 and out the crank case over flow oil started coming out but it seemed to me to be a light brownish color. I drained the oil and the oil was a light brown. i dont know if it could be coolant in the oil i have never experienced it. If it is what should i check first?
  6. Gday lads, I think I’m the first person to ever ask this question, so we’re making history here. Is it bad to accidentally push down the kickstart whilst the bike is already idling? I did this once and let’s just say the noise was not pleasant. My bike, a 2016 RMZ 450, bought it a year ago, semi seized during a 5 minute ride around the neighbourhood, I recently took it to the mechanic and the only fault, thankfully was a bent rod. Is there any correlation at all. Bought the bike for 5k so happy to hear top end was brand new, untouched, along with the transmission and crank.

  8. Long time member here that just started racing a 13 rmz 450. Here's a link to one of my gopros so you can see what kind of racing I'm doing. Go to my channel for more. Anyway I just got this Rmz which seems all stock except a yoshimura full pipe. During yesterday's event it started "pinging" really bad under a load and overheated at the finish of the race. This was the first time I've ran regular gas and not non-ethanol so I'd like to blame it on that, but I'm thinking it also may be lean because of the pipe. How do I make it run richer?
  9. I was going to change the oil on my dirt bike and i was going to use Rotella T Triple protection but the only one I could find was Rotella t4 15-40w. I think its the same thing but I just wanted to make sure. Can anyone confirm this?

I am thinking of buying a van for motocross touring (try different MX and Enduro track in summer) . furthermore i am planing to go to Spain for a 2 week Motocross touring as well . and in general i am an easygoing camper which wanna park the car beside the roads/beaches/... and enjoy the nature i have looked at small-medium size vans , something like Ford Transit !? are these cars roomy enough for what i want !? or i need a bigger vans !? and in general what equipment should i buy and install in the van !? or what equipment should i carry with me ?
  11. I think my 2012 rmz450 I picked up needs the valves adjusted, and I got a flat last time out. I don't trust the shops around here at all. Went in and talked to them when I picked up some washers and bolts and it just seemed like they don't know dirtbikes at all. I'd be willing to pay. Mostly want to see how it's done for next time. I don't have the tools either at the moment.

  13. Hi everyone I am trying to covert my 2010 rmz 450 to more woods type riding as I am getting to old for motorcross now. I have only had the bike for a year but due to covid I have had little seat time. I have found that the front end is really harsh, so I have stripped down the front forks to carry out an overhaul new oil and spring for my weight 95 kg, will use racetech guide to replace front spring. I have found someone has adjusted the shim stack already, can some point me in the right direction, I have found various post but none specific to this stack.   14. hello guys. so i have a problem with my 07 RMZ-450 as is leaking from the head and i have no idea of what it is... im not sure if its head-gasket problem or a water-pump problem as my bike have no problem starting up really quick and driving like nothing is wrong it has over heated on me but it was low in coolant but is completely refilled. i have posted a picture below hopefully somebody with expertise could help.
  15. considering riding 450s : Is 12t sprocket better for trail/enduro use !? does it help the bike not getting stall in the tide sections !? or 13t is still better and just changing the rear to 52t ? dose it help to have 12t front + 52t on the rear ? any other combination !? suggestion !?

Hello tt members I'm not new but I'm new to posting had account for I would say I'm well over 2 years anyways I have a 2011 rmz450 and looking to and alil more hp👍 or speed to it so I currently have a full fmf 4.1 to mega bomb rct pipe on it and trust me sounds great so my first thing I want to do to engine is hot cams stage 2 now I here it adds more mid-top end power I want to know have anybody had this done to thier bike or similar and want to know does it make a big noticeable difference and next I want to add a pc5 and also wanted to know if this make a good difference I know alot of people say Suzuki s have like the slowest 450's but I see that it has potential to be faster than what it is thank you so much all the advice would be great
  17. Hello. Newbie here to the community. My buddy bought a 2014 suzuki rmz450 a few weeks ago and we took to the trails this past weekend. Well it ended a few hours after we started with him having no 3rd gear and eventually it would slide the rear tire when third gear was selected. I tore it down and found the shift drum broken and the shift fork beat up pretty good. Also most dogs have pretty good wear on them. Anyone know if this is a common problem or if there are updated parts to prevent future failures? I did some searching and found info about the hammerhead +10 shifter and detent springs, but nothing like this. Thanks in advance. I'll attach pictures.
  18. My Manuel says I need 1 250ml for filter and oil change. But the filter says 1300ml. 250ml is way to little but when I drained the oil there wasn’t much in it. It’s been needing a new gasket and filled oil every now and then (I know not smart). Please help clarify. Phot of Manuel is attached.
  19. Coming from a 2015 rmz450 with spring fork conversion I traded in and recently bought a 2016 RMZ450 brand new . I ride desert type terrain consisting of Sand ,whoops ,rocks,tree roots etc . I weigh around 215lbs and currently have bone stock suspension . Current fork settings are : Comp-7 Rebound-12 180 psi-inner chamber 0 psi- outer 180 psi -Balance chamber Rear Sag set at 107 mm 1.75 turns out -high speed 12 clicks -low speed 10 clicks-Rebound Problem I have is deflection from rocks and Both too much Front dive or not enough . By that I mean the front bites too much in the sand but wont track correctly in turns if that makes sense . I know suspension is a compromise but it feels like I'm battling both ends . I'm wondering since these TAC Air forks have been out for a while now if anyone found a good medium with settling the front in Desert type terrain .
  20. I have a set of Warp 9 Supermoto Wheels I will be selling with in the next month or two. Just testing the waters to see if anyone is interested in buying them. I just bought a 2015 Honda CRF450X and am going to set it up for dual sport / enduro riding rather than supermoto riding. They have the black rim, silver spokes, and red hubs. They are in great condition, not scratched up or anything. Depending on what shipping cost and everything I'll prob ask around $750 for them. Brand new they run $900-950. The wheels have dual sport knobby tires on them now and can potentially be sold with them included. I don't have pictures of them right now but can upload some on here soon.   21. Just picked up a 2012 rmz450. I'm just getting back into riding after a few years off. What tires are you guys running for fl track and trails, or Tampa mx? Whos the go to local suspension guy? I have had past bikes done by six12, and pro action. Any recommendations? Are there any other areas to ride around here? Seems like at least an hourish drive either way to have a place to ride.
  22. Ok guys and gals, I have never owned a fourstroke before and have an opportunity at a a 2009 rmz450. My question is the bike has 112 hrs on it , its been well maintained. How concerned should I be with the engine internals? I'd hate to get it and have the motor grenade in less than a season
  23. I plan on buying a 2008 RMZ450 in a couple days for 1700. It's got ProTaper bars, Renthal Sprockets, aftermarket rims, and an FMF exhaust. The owner is relatively new to dirtbikes and recently traded a street bike for this Suzuki. He isn't overly familiar with the bike, but it looks to be in clean condition with aftermarket plastics etc, as if the previous owner took care of it. It's had a recent oil change, but the only thing i'm a little worried about is that since the current owner is pretty new to dirtbiking, he doesn't know how many hours are on the current build. I'm just curious for some last minute opinions, so i'd like to hear your thoughts; is it a good deal, and pointers on things i should look for on it before i buy. P.S i'm about 80% sure that it isn't stolen, but will run a VIN check tomm
  24. what should i consider before buying a used recluse clutch !? in https://rekluse.com/ you can find the product which is suitable for your bike model and then looked for the same model used one !? i have found a second hand rekluse clutch ( z-start pro ) which has been used on a 2009 suzuki rmz450 . what should i check before buying and installing it on my bike (2011 yz450f) . is it just ok to take it out from another bike and do the clutch spring adjustment and use it on my bike !? Or they are designed specifically for each manufacture !? ?
  25. I’m having an issue of my cam chain jumping time everytime I go to turn the engine over 2 times as stated in the manual. I’ve counted 14 pins between my marks and the cams start out in the correct position. It seems as if around 1 to 1 and a half turns it just slips and then my timing is all out of wack. I install My chain tensioner and reset it everytime I’ve tried. Getting aggravated maybe iM missing something. Any help would be appreciated. Bike is 2008 rmz450 , oh and pros and cons of manual cam chain tensioner? I was thinking that may be the problem here? Idk. Help!
