  1. I feel like my front and maybe rear suspension may be off. I have a kx 250 2008. I’ve been looking at youtube videos about this and they mention “clicks” so is that a full 360* or is it 180* or what? I weigh 75kg and I’m sure I can find how many “clicks” I should set it too for my weight, just need to know what “clicks” stands for.
  2. Hello, i see many factors can make wheelies easier such as tire pressure, bald tire or maybe the positioning of ( handle-bar, brake pedal or shifting lever ). Anyone has any setup to make wheelie On a dirtbike easier plz share it here. this is not how to wheelie thread!! This is about achieving the best setup for a better control on a wheelie. For example, i just bought a yz450f 2016 and i am struggling with side to side balance past balance point. Got better when lowered the tire pressure but still struggling a bit!
  3. Hey, got a 2014 rmz250 with SFF forks, standard springs, 1.0kg/mm in the forks, 5.5 kg/mm in the shock. Weighing in at a whole 155lbs without gear and running at an intermediate/B class mid to back pack pace I need this bike to become much more comfortable. Race Tech recommends: Fork: - 0.88kg/mm Shock: - 5.3kg/mm Race Tech appears to be a very reputable company and I apologize for questioning their knowledge but I am simply curious. For those who have used their calculator how accurate were their recommended rates. Fork: - 0.88kg/mm My main question for the fork is that their recommended rate seems like a drastic jump in fork spring rate. Maybe this is normal because their is only one spring up front? shock: - 5.4kg/mm or 5.2kg/mm are the springs available for the shock. Does one spring rate on the shock make that much of a difference? Currently with 107mm race sag which is what I find comfortable on this setup, I have 52mm of static sag (Not good, Too stiff) My main question for the shock would be if there is any way to know the amount of change in static sag from one spring rate to another. (5.5 to 5.4.. would that be enough to make the static 35mm. or would a 5.2 be better) What is everyone running for spring rate to make the suspension bearable?
  4. I just picked up a yz250, my first dirt bike in about 4 years, by no means good at dirt but ive been stunt riding sportbikes for that 4 years. I am 6'6 and 220 lbs. I havnt had much of a chance to really test the bike out as ive still got a cast on my wrist from the sportbikes, but i can already tell i wont be fitting on this bike. Ive ordered a set of windham bars, but i dont know if ill go with rox pivotting risers to bring them more foward and up. Back when i last rode dirt i was using 3 inch pivot risers and cr high bars and it was comfortable on my 2008 crf250r. I am also considering getting a large built up seat as ive heard that this will seriously help. I will also be purchasing the proper springs for my weight as soon as my supplier stocks them. I am unable to find options for lowered footpegs for this year of the yamahas, does anyone know of anything that will work? Or just any other setup peices i should be buying for this bike
  5. Hello DRZ community. I need help with my JD jetting Setup here in Switzerland. The bike is a 2007 drz 400 SM. The exhaust is a slip on G.P.R. Satinox with a silencer/muffler in it. Right now I ran the following setup: Pilot:25 Needle: Blue 4th clip Main Jet: 160 Fuel mixture screw: 2.5 turns out I'm around 1600ft (500m) above sea level. Temperature is around 71f (22 Celsius) The bike won't start unless I use the throttle a little. The power isn't that great either. I have problems getting into wheelies using the second gear. Your help is really appreciated!
  6. hello, I have been riding this bike since June. Its my first bike and I think I am doing pretty good on it. I hopped on my buddies 2006 ktm 250 exc and first thing I noticed without even riding it was the riding position felt like it put me in way more control. It put me in an 'attack' position much more naturally than on my bike. My initial thoughts are that somehow getting my bars further forward would help that. Compared to his bike, my bike seems harder to really keep weight into my bars. Like my body's COM is further back. I am thinking changing the bars would help. What do you think? I'm not sure how much more I can rotate them before they start pointing up into the air too much. I have YZ highs on it right now. My friend has the same on his KTM. Maybe to add to this since I didn't see a good recent post: What are your favorite bars for your YZ125?
