  1. I was looking of the Forest Service site and doing some research on the web and found a fair amount of what looks like very promising single track down in Southern Oregon near Applegate Lake. Some of the trails in question are Carlton Pasture Trail #930 Cook and Green Trail #959 Little Grayback Trail #921 New London Trail #928 Stein Butte Trail #929 Summit Lake Trail #926 and I saw what looked like a fair amount of locals only trails on Google Satelite maps. I'd like to take a trip down there this spring with some riding buddies from the Portland area, If there are any locals that ride the single track out in that area that would like to recommend some trails or better yet, ride with us this spring Message me. I ride a KTM 150XC and a 350 XCF-W and am looking for single track info, not dual sport roads. Thanks!!
  2. Pictures are great, but I figured it could be fun to have a thread that is strictly dedicated to riding footage of our almighty girly bikes. There's been several people posting footage lately, so if this takes off and stays near the top of the forum for people to keep watching when we're bored, awesome. If not, then I guess it was worth a shot. I have quite a bit of footage, and some of my videos are rather long, so I'll just post 3 videos for now of 3 different areas that I went to last year with my new favorite trail bike. Nothing nearly as extreme as some of the riding others here are doing on their 230's, but still plenty of smiles to be had. This first video is from August and was basically my first week on the bike since buying. I had spent the previous months slowly getting the suspension and engine set-up, along with other trail-worthy mods. Fortunately, and not surprisingly, it felt fairly comfortable to ride from the get-go. This second video is from a trail riding event in southern Minnesota. They are actually horse trails but they hold this event on two weekends out of the year (1 in Spring, 1 in Fall) for us dirt bikers. Most of the trails are beginner/intermediate, but still very fun when the conditions are good. The third video is from some state trails that are more towards the northern end of the state. It was another trail ride event put on by our local district. Thankfully it wasn't a week later because we got dumped on with white stuff that is still here in April with more on its way...
  3. The Ridge in Springville, AL seems to be making an effort to accomodate those who are looking for a little single track. Maybe if we can drum up enough interest they would cut some more trails. The Beast is a fun 12 mile loop but it is getting beaten up pretty bad on some of the hills. Hopefully they will take note and start putting in a little more work for the single track lovers! Here are a couple videos I have taken over the last year!
  4. Howdy! My 14yo son and I are driving from Utah to Portland, and are looking for a spot roughly halfway, or slightly more than half way that has a cool spot to camp with some fun singletrack nearby. We were eyeing up the La Grande area, wondering about Breshears or Mt. Emily. My son is a capable rider, but not ready for over the top hard, or super long sections of challenges - gets bored on double track roads (thankfully, cuz I do too!!). Does anyone know of a cool spot where we could stop off for a day and get a nice ride in?
  5. Does anyone on here ride the White Sulfur OHV Trails by Cave Run Lake in Kentucky? The USFS maps don't show any singletrack on their maps but I think I found an actual motorcycle trail out there by accident a couple weeks ago. There weren't any signs and I haven't talked to any park rangers about it yet but you can tell there was a trail actually cut in at some point. The first day I found it there were some recent dirt bike tracks in the dirt (I've since worn it out...). Just wondering if there's any more out there?
  6. I lived in Idaho my whole life except for 10 years of college and travel. I got my first motorcycle at 8. I rode MX track and dirt roads until I went to college. When I moved back I got into sport bikes and ripped the mountain and river roads on GSX-Rs. It was awesome. But last year I bought a dirt bike again. After putt putt-ing around on an XR250 for 2 months I bought an '06 RM250 and began modding it for trails. Back to my 2 stroke roots. Mods include: Steahly 10oz FWW, FMF Gnarly Pipe, Moose Reed Spacer, G2 Throttle Tamer, ASV 1 finger levers, hand guards, skid plate, Uni Air Filter, Fast Away Evo 4 pegs, Fast Away Kick Stand, Pro Taper high bars, Tusk bar risers... At this point I've chased down some minor jetting issues by dropping the pilot jet down to a 45 and the bike runs real smooth. It tracks like a MoFo, lugs hard in the first 3 gears but can pull and growl into mid range with wheelies every time. Top end, although I rarely get there on the tight trails, screams like all good 2 strokes are meant to do. Turning and maneuverability is on point, ducking and weaving tight trees and tractoring sharp switchbacks like a boss. I am so pleased. This bike is so much fun. I've finally got a tool to explore the lifetime trails out my door in my home state. Although I wouldn't say we have much true woods riding, we do have sections of trails that duck and dive through tight trees. All this and I'm still under 3K for the bike and mods. Everybody has drank the Orange Koolade (EU Manufacturers), but I think this RM gives the best of them a run for their money. And at a fraction of the price. None of my KTM buddies want to even ride it... they afraid. Work I'm planning to do: Grease the shock and swingarm, Wisco clutch basket and plates, 13-51 gearing with x-ring chain, top end rebuild over winter, bigger tank, high rise seat... Are the newer bikes that much better? Are the new bikes ANY better???
  7. Hey everyone, i purchased a TT universal fan for my 2019 FX350. I am ready to mount it but wanted to pick all your brains about a few things. 1. Where is the best place to put it? For ex: front or rear, top or bottom. 2. Where do you put the digital thermometer readout? For ex: radiator shroud, handlebar pad, etc. 3. Do you have any pearls of wisdom you can add to help my installation go smoothly. For ex: where to run wires, battery connections etc. i know this is a simple project but I’d like to get the most mileage from my fan. thanks everyone
  8. Who lives and rides in Shelton, Belfair, Tahuya, Bremerton..etc? Heading up there to scope out the scene to find a place to live, and wouldn't mind meeting up with some single track riders. Basically want to ride at the house, or ride to the trails. Is that possible without being in a 1 horse town? Any good clubs to talk to in the areas? Any opinions are greatly appreciated! Cheers, Rob
  9. Had a camp trip for Kennedy Meadows planned for next weekend. The trails are now closed for the fire. Where else is there good single track like that. Prefer mtn trails so we don't melt. Me and my buds already have the days off so whats a good alternative? Coming from the OC and IE. Really don't want t o drive more than 5hrs Thanks in advance.
  10. I will be in the Sheridan, WY area for most of July and am looking for folks to show me the local riding treasures. I am a solid rider with good technical skills and am capable of riding most difficult terrain. That said, I am open to any fun riding. I prefer single track but enjoy double track as well.
  11. Well, with the weekend rapidly approaching, time to plan another ride. Like last Monday, meet at the north parking lot of Walker Valley ORV Park around 10AM, head up Pat's trail and admire whatever work has been done and then head to either Upper Mainline, Tooler or who knows? https://www.dnr.wa.gov/geo/walkervalley.pdf?c6froe
  12. Are there any down sides to a rekluse z start pro clutch ? Reliability? Maintenance? Performance? etc...
  13. Quick 3 mile lap through some beautiful sections of the hills our here in sunny SoCal. Reche Canyon to be exact. 34.026257, -117.254637 to be more exact. 🤣 Hope y'all enjoy the scenery and the smooth action of this 2004 Husqvarna CR125. This is just the warm up lap. Sadly, I broke my foot later in this ride, so I was never able to do a full speed lap through hitting my marks like I wanted to.
  14. What changes need to be done to convert a Mx bike to a decent competitive woods bike? I'm thinking suspension work, hi flow water pump, larger radiators, bark busters, flywheel and clutch mods.. Any other suggestions?

You could change your full exhaust for one with a sparky in it, or you could dismantle your existing setup and put in something cheap. We just wanted to take our bikes out and ride and there was nothing available that made it quick and easy. We couldn't find a solution so we made one. Inexpensive, and quick to install. No need to set aside an afternoon to clean it out, you can do that in minutes before loading up.” Henry Pankratz, Co-owner Fisch Moto Fisch Moto modular spark arrestors are intelligently designed and built to last. 18. Hey Guys and Gals! I went on a really cool ride at Corral Canyon OHV park in SoCal. The conditions were epic since we've been getting all this rain recently. I also got a new camera mount so let me know what you think!!
  19. Hey guys, I recently moved to Las Vegas area from Utah and I’m looking for the best places to ride desert trails near Las Vegas. I moved here for pharmacy school and I’m not familiar with the area at all. I have 10 years riding experience and I ride a 2016 yz250x fully set up for desert riding. Looking for fun trails and possibly some buddies to ride with and show me around. I’m looking to ride around Christmas/ New Years. Thanks for reading, hope to hear from some of you soon!
  20. I'd like to exchange info on good loops within a day-trip of Vegas. In exchange I can offer inside local info on Moab, or SW Colorado(Durango/Rico Area), and NW NM stashes. Ideally, someone can provide .gpx loops that can be followed simply with a bar-mounted gps. I can provide some fantastic routes in the areas listed above. I'm looking for someone with more than a website or map recommendation. It takes too long to find the good stuff that way. We are all experienced technical riders and we'd like to ride as much singletrack as possible. I'll be in the Vegas area in early April with a group of A-B level off road (somewhat responsible adult) riders. A few riders will be on 2-strokes with a 75-ish mile range. We can carry gas if necessary. Some bikes won't be plated. I've got lots of Moab and Colorado loops mapped that I can exchange. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, HR

I head down Thursday and will be there for a week or two. Ill be in the north east area but willing to travel a couple hours. Thanks!
  22. Every once and while I throw together a "Moto Moment" video, usually a short minute or so video from some specific singletrack trail out in the Pacific Northwest. Here's my latest, please like, share, and subscribe if you enjoy it!
