So I live in Calgary Alberta and winter is coming up and I want to ride all year but don't know how yet. It gets cold here (-20) but we also get Chinooks where we have weeks of +5-10ish and you can ride the street or trails-(kind of if there isn't tons of snow and if you have someone to ride with). So right now I have a Husabert TE300 2 stroke that is kind of street legal. Has a street legal registration now from a registry but not actually factory street legal. I can put a street kit on it and ride it around which would be my cheapest option but Im not sure how legal that is. 2: I can buy a street legal ktm 500, 350 etc some sort of dirtbike style 4 stroke and legally ride around the streets practicing 'trialsy' stuff on it then hope so sell it and get most of my money back. Or 3; buy trelleborg tires for the husaberg but I don't know anyone that rides all year and im not super keen on riding trails mid winter. Also could be a lot of snow. Any ideas or opinions are much appreciated! Thanks
