  1. Im so mad i feel like i did it right but i dont understand how my spacer have a gap like that..
  2. One of the spacers that screws into the inside of the swingarm to keep the collars from contacting the aluminum has broken. Honda won't sell it individually you have to buy a new swingarm. Does anyone know where to get the spacer with the screw holes? Machine shop wants $200-300 depending on how intricate the design ends up. I'm going to try a 1" washer for now. Group buy anyone? Any ideas? Pic is of the unbroken one compared to a washer. Without these spacers you lose like 3/8" between the collars and swingarm so I don't want to not run anything.
  3. Hi! I have a husqvarna Wr 250 2000 model and I am going to buy new sm wheels. My options are wheels from a KTM, Yamaha, Honda or Kawasaki. I was wondering if someone knew the mesaurements for the spacers i would need, so i can send the dimensions to those who make the rims. The picture is with the old rims i sold. Thanks!
  4. In one of the OEM/model-specific forums, a TT member posted the following as part of a thread on lowering a bike: I could be completely wrong but it seems to me that the Zeta ring wouldn't have much effect on the height of the bike when sitting or standing on the bike because it only reduces how far the shaft can extend out of the shock body when it's fully extended. When seated or standing on the pegs, the spring will be compressed and the shaft will go further inside the body than when it is at rest so you would be at the same height on the bike for dabbing etc. This all assumes that nothing would be changed for the preload on the rear spring. To get the same sag measurement as before, you would need to back off on the preload tension and this would lower the rear of the bike. But how would the handling be different than having the preload rings at that position without the lowering ring? It seems to me that you would also need to change the rear spring rate for the bike to behave much differently. It seems that shock spacers are often considered to be better than lowering linkages but I don't understand why unless there was also a change in the spring rate. Can anyone here explain this to me? Thanks!
  5. I'll cut to the chase then give a little back story, 2000 pw 80 I need to know which rear wheel spacer I need, is there any way someone can measure or provide info on which spacer I have and which one I need. Okay so I got handed a basket case pw80 from my uncle, left outside for the last year or so, rear chain hub assembly exploded and they just never fixed it, so I get a water beaten, no air filter having sun faded carb looked like a seamen filled toilet. motor was seized, let it sit over night with magical oil and she broke free, quite easily honestly, tore the bike down to the frame and motor, and I'm currently going through it, ordered new carb, re lubed all cables, did a ghetto oil pump delete and ordered everything to make her a track worthy pitter. Shes coming along nicely for the second day of "working on it"
  6. After tearing down my 2014 YZ450f to fix a bent selector fork I came across this in the oil pan. Any idea what it is and where it belongs? Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. Hey guys, I need some advice. I have a 2019 SM and I noticed some gnarly wear on my wheel spacers. I know it's soft metal, but these gouges are concerning. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this or if this is normal? I've heard mixed things so far, so I really need some expert advice. Bike rides perfectly fine, does not wobble at high speed. Rear wheel is torqued to 72 ft/lb and both bearings and spacers are always cleaned and regreased before being mounted. Wheel bearings look shiny and new and the rubber looks perfect. I routinely swap out the 17" street tires for 18/21 knobbies to go offroad, which is how I noticed this. The spacers do not interchange between wheelsets, so I'm positive they're the correct set for the SM rear wheel. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. I have a leaking counter shaft seal and I've run into an issue that I need your suggestions on. In short the spacer will not come off. I've doused it with PB, WD, hammered on it. Won't budge. How can I get this out??? Tempted to drill a hole in the surface and wack it with a chisel. Not sure if I can drill that hard collar. How about putting heat on it? Thinking maybe a finely directed map gas torch could heat the collar with damaging anything. I can't tell if there is plastic on that tranny from the schematics.
  9. So i was doing a top end on my yz250 which i have never done before. Watched a couple of videos and seamed easy enough. I ran the bike after the rebuild and everything was good but despite my diligence, when i got home from my ride, i noticed a small spacer that may have well been part of the build. Theres a chance that this is just a loose item floating around my garage but does anyone know if there is a small circular metal spacer (looks like its about 15mm outer diameter, 5mm depth) that goes in the power valve are of a YZ250? I have an online manuel but they are sometimes a little tricky to interpret. Thanks TT
