  1. I bought a 125 automatic SSR 3 months ago from the dealership automatically when I had brought it home it had issues I called the dealership and told them about it they said it had no warranty that SSR Motorsports did that which is strange because this is my fourth bike from the dealership and they all come with warranty automatically at least 90 days anyway So there was a crack in what I believe is the "engine motor mount bracket" and I was trying to find a replacement called the dealership no response where can I find this at? Whats the right name for it? and this definitely has to be welded on right? This is the right side under the muffler
  2. What kind of bike does the 2019 SSR front brake pads convert to? i’m trying to look for EBC Pads for it.
  3. My girlfriend and I just purchased two sr170tr bikes online. I put them both together, loctite bolts/screws with blue loctite, changed oil with 10w-40 non synthetic, oiled the air filter and filled them up with premium gas. My bike started after a couple kicks and is keeping idle/running fine. The second bike though has been extremely difficult to kick vs mine. It will occasionally kick but it stops/gets stuck so often you basically break your foot in the process. And when it does kick it has much more resistance in general. This is all based off of comparison with the working sr170tr. After many attempts to start the bike (checking spark plug, making sure wire connections are tight, and 100 difficult kicks) I noticed the manifold intake is cracked. Again this bike is new and never been started before so this was a major bummer... I have nearly zero experience with bikes and dont know how to go about this. Ive emailed the company that sent me the bikes about the broken manifold intake. But scratching my head about the difficult kick start issue. Will the broken intake have anything to do with the difficulty of kicking the engine? Thank you!
  4. Hey all! I’m getting a ssr 140tr bw in a week and I am going to get the valves adjusted. How often do I have to do this? I really am not looking forward to doing a adjustment every 15 hours. If I’m just riding in fields and just playing around on it, not hitting high rpms, what’s the longest amount of time before I MUST do it. Thanks to read and reply...
  5. Hey mx fam, I recently purchased a 2015 SSR sr250s but don’t really know how to find replacement parts for it. Mostly looking for both clutch and front brake levers, still useable though in need of replacement. (I was riding in our sand pits that were loose and deep and had to let the bike fall 🥴..) really looking for two things~ - links to those levers for a decent price - & If there’s a spot where I could find all things SSR, that’d be great I’d appreciate any help AP
  6. Decided to try and put together a new ssr sr170tr today with zero experience. (Skip to the end if you want the issue in a nutshell) Everything went well until I attempted to put on the front tire and realize it wont fit into the front break caliper. I started to squeeze the front break lever to see if i could see the break pads open and close, and they looked already closed. Thats when youtube showed me theres plastic shoved into there, so in my attempt to pull out the plastic it had snapped between the break pads. I began to unscrew two screws that hold the break pads into place. Break pads fell out along with the plastic. I figured success. Then i screwed the break pads back into the caliper and put the tire back on which then i noticed the break pads are still closed. So i removed the tire again along with the break pads and began pumping the front break lever which showed the calipers will push out with every pump but dont go back in - forcing the breakpads to be closed... -so my question is did i break anything? Is there a way to reset/release the front break caliper so i can screw in the break pads and have room for my wheel? Confused why it only tightens with each pump and doesnt release. Thank you for your time
  7. Here a strange questions, has anyone had this happen to them? I have SSR125 semi auto and when in gear I pull the throttle and it seems like the whole engine torques and twists. I've check all the mounts and they are tight. It seems like this is happening from inside the motor. What the heck is this? Thanks!
  8. Hey y’all! I recently just upgraded my wife to a 2021 SSR 189. I’ve heard rumors that it has the same plastics as a 2018 KTM 85, and can use the same graphics kit. Anyone know if SSR has the same plastics as another brand for this year so I can add graphics to my wife’s bike? I’ve found one site that has graphics for the 189, but I don’t like them that much, so I’m looking for other options if anyone has another website they recommend?
  9. I'm looking for a pit bike, budget around $600. Im not to worried about a chinnese brand im worried about size, I've been looking at a ssr 125 (either semi and manual), I'm 6'1 about 165lbs. I just wanna know if i'd be able to ride it pretty comfortably, obviously wont be as comfortable as a 250. let me know anything you got. Thanks
  10. Hey I need some advice I have a Chinese pit bike (please no ball bustin lol) but it stopped working 2 years ago I ceased the engine. I bought it used for 300$ originally price of it is like 1000$. I was thinking should I just drop a new engine in it? The new engine is a 140 a step up from the ceased 125. The engine is only 340. The thing is I haven't touched it in 2 years. So I know i'm going to need to do more work besides the engine such as bearings and new wheels and etc. Do you think it's smarter just to buy a new one like 800 or just take time and rebuild the one I have??
  11. Hello all, I have had my ssr sr150 for a little time now. It's a 2019. It keeps bogging out on medium to heavy quick throttle, I have tried everything, adjusting main and pilot jets small and bigger sizes from stock, I have moved the throttle needle up and down, I leveled the float, I was told to try and tape off half the air intake (didn't work), the air/fuel mixture screw has to be turned just about all the way in. Its probably a half turn out or less from all the way in, the only way it will run and stay started. it just boggs out pretty bad when I need that extra throttle.. what could it be?
  12. Just finished valve adjustment and set clearances to .003-.005. I know a tapping valve is a happy valve. Seems to be a bit much though. Could is be the cam chain or something else or am I imagining things? open to any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance.
  13. What kind of brake pads does a SSR 189 take in any top brands?
  14. I have a 2021 SSR 125 I am trying to get tuned up right. Live at ~4000' and frequently ride higher so all the stock jets were pretty rich. This one has the Jing Ke 22mm carb and not the Mikuni. I picked up an "official" SSR jetting kit without realizing that almost all the jets in there were richer / bigger sizes than what came stock. But, I was able to use https://www.jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_identify_that_jet.htm to find identical Keihin matches for the main jet. Everything is running pretty good and it rips at high revs, but it idles with a touch of bog / stutter - and the bottom 1/8 - 1/4 of the throttle band bogs / stutters when you rev it up slow. Then it picks back up after about 1/4 and starts ripping strong. Ripping straight from idle past 1/4 works just fine, but cruising at around 1/4 can get... interesting. Adjusting the fuel screw leaner seems to help, but basically i have to take it all the way in and it kills the engine at idle. This leads me to believe the Pilot Jet (currently 38.5) is still a touch rich. (First carby, but plenty of experience wrenching on / tuning older autos incl manual diesel injection pumps. Please confirm my jetting hypothesis....😆) See also the fancy jetting graphs attached which help me think this is the case. However I cannot for the life of me find anywhere that will sell me pilots for this carb in smaller sizes. It is similar to some of the Keihin / Mikuni jets but nothing matches up just right. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Pics with caliper measurements attached (PS - yes, I understand the Mikuni is a better carb and has all the jet sizes etc etc, and yeah I will probably buy one because its better, but I am mostly just having fun learning to tune on the crappy Chinese carb so LETS FIND DAT JET 🤘🏼)
  15. What's going on guys, so I'm making my ssr 125 into a stunt bike, i put rear pegs on and I need to make a rear handbrake setup, I was thinking of buying a front brake setup and disconnecting the hose with the banjo bolts and buying a longer hose, then making a bracket to mount the caliper on, would that work? does anyone have a setup that they know forsure works that won't cost an arm and a leg?
  16. Found a 2014 ssr 125 for 300$. He says it starts right up and is only missing the clutch lever...what should I look out for when I'm inspectin or checking out the bike?
  17. Just purchased my first pitbike I previously owned a viper 150cc was wondering if it was a big upgrade and is there anything i should do as soon as its delivered after assembly that will extend the longevity new to the community6ft220lb
  18. I have a question about my 2018 ssr sr 125 fully manual first off do you think those “performance” cdi boxes from eBay are worth it bc if they are in want to buy one and next question I need to find a I take manifold that’s 26mm for a Mikuni 26mm carb do u think that would be a good performance gain also? The stock intake manifold ID is 22mm and my back wheel when I spin in when I have it sitting on a bucket it doesn’t spin perfectly straight is that bad ?? Thanks
  19. I have this late 2000’s pitbike that i bought a year or 2 ago and it ran fine until one day i lost spark. So i figured it was the cdi, nope still didnt work, then i figured it was the ignition coil, stillll didnt work. I did already check every wire for breaks and tested continuity and they are fine. So i replaced the stator coil. Thennn the bike kicked right up and i was like sweeeeet! But when i was parking the bike to go in to my chiropractor which was 4 miles away, i heard it bog before i killed it. Ever since it would not start again. Im tired of working on it ANY suggestions please??
  20. Hey guys I have a SSR that I picked up last summer and would really like to ride it this summer my only problem is I dont know the model number of this SSR and it has NO Compression! So I need to figure out what the model number is on this bike, or what exactly the motor is so I can buy parts for it. The VIN on it is A5SDD2R3ECC001463 I have also attached a bunch of photos and can upload more if needed. Also if you guys have any ideas on why I am not getting compression I would love your input on that as well. I replaced the carb and now I just need to figure out the compression issue. Thanks so much. I will be active on here!
  21. Hello, brand new to the site and barely had my 2022 SR125 bike for a year now. (I'm the 2nd owner and the bike is stock). Last night was the first time tightening up the chain and not finding the correct info online. Is the chain supposed to touch the top of the swing arm frame? I feel like there's not alot of play with this chain and even the adjuster nuts area is very small. I"m still new to working on motorcycles tho, so forgive my ignorance on this. To add, after making adjustments, the chain did tigthten up but i may end up having to go back and loosen it alittle. What's your experience with working on the SR125 chain?
  22. Does anyone know what type of bike the SSR 189 levers convert to or know or have a set a levers that would work like MZS?
  23. Hi guys im back at it with the 2006 125cc SSR China bike. Just like the title says the bike runs better with the petcock off (3 position). The engine sounds much more healthy and the throttle feels much smoother but as soon as I switch the petcock to on the bike drops rpms, runs like crap, makes a god awful smell, and white smoke comes out sometimes. And vice versa with the petcock off...until it runs out of gas I just put a new carb(PZ19) because the old one would leak out of the float overflow. The new carb doesn't leak but it has the same problem with the petcock. Also when I took out the spark plug it was black and dry. My questions are, is it running rich? Which direction on the air-fuel screw leans and richens on this carb? Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the help.
  24. So I recently purchased a ssr189 and the bike has been great but it does have a bog to it. and wide-open throttle feels way to lean. Has anyone jetted this bike and if so what jets should I buy? idk what's in the carb rite now. p.s heres a video of my bike!! Thanks, Derek
  25. So I got a blown SSR150 and idk what big bore kit will fit help please
