My bike had been sitting a couple months after getting a brand new battery and everything was working fine. A family friend leaned on it and it stopped a couple weeks ago. I Just got a new seat and tried to start the bike but it won't start. The lights and signals all work the horn works but when I press the start or ignition button there is absolutely no sound or clicking or anything. I checked the battery with a multimeter and a battery charger and the battery is fine. I bought it a few months back. It's like no power is getting to the starter or something. I checked the kick stand switch and don't think that is the problem. Any help is very much appreciated!

Hey all, my current ride is a YZ450F and I have the darnedest time getting it started once it is warmed up. It is so bad I made a video review for anyone considering buying the bike (seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjhVZ2NAtkE). What do you guys think? Any advice on how to get this started once it is warmed up? My 2006 YZ250F has a hot start and fires right up every time but this sucker gives me heartache and sometimes takes 5 minutes before it starts again...lately I have been jump starting it because I am a grandpa and don't want to use up my energy bank for the day just kicking over the bike!! -

I have a rebuilt 2009 kx250f that runs very well and usually starts on the first or second kick from a cold start. After riding for a while and stopping, it is sometimes almost impossible to get the bike started again by kicking it. If I push start it, it starts up with no problems and runs perfectly. I usually have to let it sit for 10 minutes or so before trying to start it again. I mainly ride the bike on trails. I cleaned the carb a couple weeks ago, but I also don't think this would be the problem since it starts up no problem sometimes. Any ideas why the bike would have this problem? It's almost perfect aside from this issue.

My bike kicks over, runs for about 3 seconds then shuts off. The bike is only 1 years old... First I changed the spark plug the problem went away. The problem returned, I changed the plug again but the problem was still there. I cleaned all electrical connections and the bike ran fine. I went to ride again but then the problem had returned and I can’t get it fixed... Sometimes it stays on for more than 3 seconds and I’m able to give gas using the throttle but again cuts out randomly... At first I thought it was the stator but my spark plug is getting a strong consistent spark. I’m thinking it might be my fuel pump but I don’t know how to troubleshoot that.

Hey guys so I just bought this blown up 250 and just put in a new top and bottom end. I just got it all back together and nothing happens. I have made sure it has spark, I bought a new fuel injector so it has fuel and fuel pump works great, Timing is set to the manuals standards, idle screw is set to 36 clicks counter clockwise and still nothing happens, I can kick and kick and nothing. I have a compression tester coming Saturday but it’s very tight so i dont know the issue plz help

I have a 2018 Drz400sm. Had the bike running fine with no problems. Went riding and had the bike die at a red light after I had just fueled up. Got it home and started with the basics. New fuel, new spark and starter fluid to no luck. I have since check timing and compression and all good. Deleted the clutch switch and finally got the bike to bump start but it won’t stay running. I’m at a loss of what it could be.

I just traded my non-running 75 Ironhead for a non-running CRF250R. I've only had experience working on older Harleys and I'm new to dirt bikes so I need a little guidance. Guy I traded with says it has a rebuilt carb, new timing chain, air filter, hot cam stage two, new cam bearings, new valves and has had a drip down test but won't start. He has the receipts from the garage he took it to so I know it had some kind of work done to it. Just got it today and it looks really clean, but he said it sat for a year. My question is, where should I start in trouble shooting this? What are the most common issues with this bike? I've heard a lot of talk about adjusting valves, but I'd thought I would see what you guys think. Thanks for any advice!

So I got this 1998 husky te610 changed the plug tried again and plug is still dry petcock was leaking so I thought of a quick fix and spliced the line with an aftermarket one off amazon fuel is being moved but nothing still I’m not sure what position the key should be in or if it even matters any advice
