  1. Hey guys, So I am looking to purchase a Trail tech Voyager gps kit for my ktm 500.. I currently have the upgraded thermostat from ktm to keep things cooler during the summer. I will get the trail tech kit that comes with the speedo magnet, senser, thermostat replacement, etc. So my question is, Will the thermostat sensor that comes with the trail tech voyager kit also engage the cooling fan at around 190 degrees and replace the aftermarket thermostat I currently have? Or is it something that will work 'in addition' to the aftermarket thermostat from Ktm? Thanks! Rev on!
  2. I’m installing the trail Tech vapor on my KLX450R. Those that have done this, when installing the speedo sensor what do you do with the stock speedometer gear case assembly? Do you take the thing off or just cut the wire.
  3. Has anyone purchased a voyager for their DRZ400? I'm thinking about getting one for the GPS. It looks as though it'll replace the whole display panel. I haven't seen any information on whether it is a good replacement for the indicator lights. If not, where are people putting them?
  4. I have a 2005 CRF450R with a Trail Tech fan kit installed. I need a little bit larger tank and would like to know if anyone has an aftermarket tank that fits with the fan kit. I dont need a monster 4 gallon, just maybe a 2.4 or 2.7 from IMS would do fine. I talked with both the tank vendor and Trail Tech and neither could give me any answers. Thanks guys. Jake Minden, NV
  5. Hi, So try and stick with me here its a bit of a tricky one (for me) ill try to be brief. my bike is an 07 wr250f. I've been going through the forum to help fault find but i've come to a crossroad. Went for a decent ride the other day, pulled up and my battery was dead flat when i went to take off again. got home and charged it back up and started the bike again to check volts and it was sitting at 12V but when i revved it the volts dropped to around 10.5V. So after a bit of fault finding I've replaced the reg/rec and battery trying to eliminate the problem and i'm still having the same issue. i checked the charging coil resistance and it was in spec, i checked the AC voltage coming from the white and the yellow wires from the stator and they seem ok (was around 15-20VAC at idle and rose to 50-60VAC when i revved it). I have noticed the guy i bought the bike off has re-wired all the lighting to a new harness coming straight off the battery which after doing some research figured the charging supply was being overrun hence the voltage drop when i revved it but even when i disconnected the harness (so no load on the battery) to check supply at idle the volts would slowly creep up to around 13.2V but again when i revved it the volts dropped not as bad but still went down. I even connected an LED to the old AC headlight plug because i heard it doesn't like to be open circuit and on that plug i would get around 12V AC at idle and would drop to 5V when i revved. As far as i know there hasn't been any other mods done eg stator or anything. so pretty much i'm thinking to just bite the bullet and purchase the trail tech 100W DC kit (as everything is now running off the battery) but what i'm after before i spend even more money on this thing is if anyone had a similar problem or if there is anything that i could be missing as i'm in oz so i wont be able to get the DC kit here any time soon. Thanks for battling through that and any help is appreciated. Cheers!
  6. I was sitting in class daydreaming about my bike when it occurred to me; Why haven't I seen more people running two radiator fans for hard enduro? I mean it's a bit overkill and might take away from learning to be a more efficient rider but there have to be people out there who do it? I might be mistaken. Is it for electrical reasons, or is it just not necessary? Just a thought...
  7. It sounds like Trail Tech's heavier flywheels are the standard for people trying to make their MX bikes more woods friendly. I have a 2014 CRF 450R and was hoping to buy the +17oz flywheel, but I reached out to Trail Tech and they said they stopped making them last year. I checked out Steahly and they only had a bolt-on flywheel weight (which was out of stock). Is there another popular heavier flywheel you guys are using? I also assumed I'd buy a heavier flywheel instead of a bolt-on weight... any thoughts here? Thanks!
  8. Well guy's it looks like our friends at Trailtech are working on a new computer... I spotted this in one of their videos lately.
  9. Does anyone have a Trail Tech speed sensor cable they are willing to sell for and Endurance II? Or maybe where I could find a replacement? My wire got ripped out and shredded in someone's rear tire, and everyone seems to be out of stock for replacements. Supposedly they stopped manufacturing the speed sensor/cable a few years ago.
  10. Ok so i put my rims and tires on for my supermoto conversion and it looks bad ass, i ordered a high out put stator to get rid of the problem i had with the baja designs light kit, so im installing it tonight, im curious as to whether or not i will need a new battery or special kind of battery for the new stator. its a trail tech high out put stator for my 2013 wr250f. i mean i guess ill find out tonight after i install it. i bought a new battery anyway that hopefully works out ok with no problems. but just curious if anybody else has experience with this.
  11. Hey guys, I'm new to the dual sport scene, and I'm working on my 99' DR350 to customize it more to my liking. I installed a Trail Tech X2 headlight and I realized that while in the high beam setting, only the larger bottom lamp comes on. Is this normal? It's plenty bright, but I would prefer both lights come on while in high beam. I would greatly appreciate some guidance on sorting this issue out. Also, my bike has two yellow wires leading to the high beam, I'm assuming one is related to the high beam indicator?
