LOL I would angle it more tward the rear. Just a personal preference. Makes it look like you are going faster...

I started a thread on LED tailights for this exact setup. I seemed to have missed it.

Flasher rates can be overcome pretty easy actually. I went to custom dynamics site and got a DOT flash rate relay. It was $20. I ordered the one for the Z1000 (needed them for it as well).

You go to the black box at the front on the DRZ pull the pins from the harness connector for the signals. I slid shrink wrap over the connectors of the relay pig tails, plugged the 2 together, and shrunk the wrap. The connectors are the right size and everything. No splicing no fuss. Easily reversed should you need to.

Time to order the tailight.
